SAL Jacket

The SAL jacket is named after Sal Paradise, the protagonist of Jack Kerouac’s novel On the Road. Rather than valuing the destination, the characters find meaning in the journey itself—on “the road”—continually moving forward. In the same spirit, this jacket does not simply pursue the finished form of a tailored jacket; instead, it seeks new possibilities in tailoring by designing the very process and path that lead to its creation.

目的地に到達することよりも、移動のなかでその“道の上”に価値を見いだし転がり続ける登場人物たち。彼らのように、単にテーラードジャケットの完成形を目指すのではなく、工程や手段、その道のり自体をデザインし、新しい仕立てを模索するジャケット。
